History
Located in the heart of downtown Orleans, Mahoney’s is a fashionable and upscale dining spot with a lively bar and cozy dining room. Situated in a 19th century building which served as a dry goods and penny candy store, the restaurant’s ambiance exudes history and charm. With all the chic of a Boston club, Mahoney’s serves sophisticated New England cuisine in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
Chef Ted Mahoney
Ted began his cooking career while still in high school, spending his summers in the kitchen of Captain Higgins (now The Pearl) restaurant in Wellfleet. He attended Norwich University in Vermont, and soon became the kitchen manager of Miguel’s Stowe Away, an authentic Mexican restaurant with an international reputation. He returned to the Cape for a long stint at the Lobster Pot in Provincetown, before heading to the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley to apprentice with Master Chefs in a special program designed for experienced chefs.

Superb food & service! Very busy for a Wednesday night off season.
Must be the place to be. The four of us had a wonderful dining experience.
Started with tuna sashimi…delicious! Our server, Andala had great recommendations.
I had the sole almandine and it was perfect. My friend had the seafood bouillabaisse and said it was fantastic. Will surely return!
